Past & Ongoing Projects

Below are some of the projects and partners we have worked with over the past few years.

Progress Place - Toronto, ON

We began working with Progress Place in 2021 with the goal of co-creating an indoor farm that would be used to engage the participants of the community clubhouse through the year round production of greens, herbs and vegetables. Our team designed, installed and worked with participants through a series of eight immersive workshops to start-up the vertical farm. We continue to work with Progress Place and support the team with supply drops, monthly check-in’s and are available to support any technical or troubleshooting questions.

Thornbury Acres - Clarksburg, ON

We are working as the lead agricultural consultant in Ontario’s first human-scale community agricultural cooperative, in collaboration with values-based developer Castlepoint Numa. The project envisions a self sustaining community of homesteaders who actively engage in a dynamic agricultural program within the community. Homesteaders will work together as both neighbors and business partners as they produce food for their own families and sell surplus through farmgate sales and local distribution channels.

The Stop Community Food Centre - Toronto, ON

The Stop’s Green Barn is located at The Wychwood Barns in Toronto, Ontario. The 2,500 square foot greenhouse provides the platform for community programs such as the annual spring seedling giveaway, and social enterprise initiatives such as the 10 Metre Greens initiative. Our team collaborated with the operations team to provide operational and technical guidance to improve yields from the greenhouse while aligning with best practices for production and food safety.

Seneca Urban Farm - North York, Ontario

Our founder is a proud Seneca Alumni and leveraged the College’s on-campus incubator HELIX to start-up his first venture, Ripple Farms. Since 2015 Seneca has been a supporter and collaborator on a variety of projects including The Seneca Urban Farm. The farm is a custom built modular farming unit comprised of an upcycled shipping container with a greenhouse on top. Applied research and training is currently being performed within the year-round farm and was the location of the first vertical farming bootcamp, hosted in 2017.
